Default RE: official mini quake thread

cookie monster, you're correct, the SE doesn't have any electronics. Basically any 1/10th scale ESC will work well with any 1/18th scale motor. I'd recommend the Associated AI Quantum Runner Reverse [link=http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/WTI0001P?&I=LXKYX5]here[/link] because it's waterproof, tiny, has reverse, can handle 540 motors down to 18T (meaning it can easily handle any 370), and is only $35. Your Evader radio should be just fine.

Dale Gribble, I know what you're saying about preferring 4 shocks to 8 because of the extra maintenance, but I haven't had any issues with mine. Did you have the aluminum ones or the RTR plastic ones?

I've included a few pictures of my MQ SE with the 540 conversion and custom LED's. It's a blast at night but definitely quite challenging to steer at full throttle.
