thanks guys, i think i'll go with the SJ.50
looking at the specs, the 60 LX will turn the same prop 1,000 RPMs faster than the 50:
SJ .50 R/C with muffler > 16.5 oz prop 10x6 RPM 17,000 >$295.00
SJ .60LX High Performance > 16.8 oz prop 10x6 RPM 18,000 >$350.00
not sure the gain is worth $55 (to me)

Sometimes it is. But for reference, those are ground/bench static. 17K is
minimum recommended ground peak (prop selection) for the 60LX. Many more rrrrrrrs to be had in the air due to the SS muffler.
But you would not be disappointed with a 50 either. On the Patriot 40, we know it can do 120-130 easy with the .50 on it.
