RE: Mode 3 Radio?
I just began the switch from Mode 2 to Mode 4 last night on the simulator.
I could fly OK without crashing, but get mixed up with corrections during aerobatic manuvers. Would have been easier if I hadn't learned how to use the rudder this year!
It just makes so much sense to get the rudder and elevator on the same stick. My biggest weakness was rolling circles, so I hope that this will help. Hope it doesn't set me too far down the learning curve.
My biggest concern is that nobody in my club will be able to fly my plane in case of emergency (such as getting something in my eye or stung by a bee, etc.) I've got a 12Z on order. I think with all that functionality I should be able to program a flight mode that effectively makes it into a Mode 2 radio. Then, with a flip of a switch, others can fly my plane. Anybody tried that?
