Default RE: pitts challenge and ultimate bipe question

No to both.

You CAN remove the wings, but it is not worth it, and far too much hassle at the field.

You would have to remove both the top and bottom wings, wing strut screws, aileron servo connectors, etc. etc. etc. Ugh!

However both planes are small enough that you can easily get them into a car trunk or into the back seat, so this is not an issue.

This is one of the reasons I love both of these planes. Throw them in the car and GO!

The <43" wing span fits even smaller cars.

No taking them apart.

I can fit both of these planes in the back of my Saab Sedan and often do.

Make sure that you have the engines fully tuned and flight tested before you put the cowl on the planes.

Fly w/o the cowl when testing to save you a lot of grief later... the cowls are not fun to have to put on and off, especially at the field.

However once your engine is properly tuned, you only need remove the cowl for maintenance.

When you do put the cowls on, be very careful not to upset your hard won settings.
