I read somewhere that the DX-7 has the LION battery. Is that true? If so, I wonder if the charger is OK. Normally, each LION or LIPO cell should not be over 4.2v after fully charged. An overcharged LION or LIPO battery is pretty dangenous.

It's a Ni-MH. The Battery mine came with is labled as Ni-MH AA 1500mAh 9.6V
