I also had this issue, as well as my bro-in-law ... make sure your clutch shoe spring is not bad or come loose on you. Can you roll it forward and backward easily with no resistance? Do you hear a metal on metal noise when you do? Can you start it easily while it is on the ground?
I'd also check the server/throttle operation with it not running but turned on. Does it go back to the 1-1.5mm opening in the carb when you let off of the gas or does it stick at WOT?
