Default RE: Need help making a twin air 45 go fast.

This post is getting a bit dated but I just saw it.

I've been running a pair of 46AX engines with Ultrathrust mufflers on my Twin-Air for a couple years now. They turn 10.5x6 props around 14,000 RPM. The Twin Air is not all that clean a design and so its not a real speed plane. But mine is a good bit faster than the sport planes flying at my field and does turn some heads. I'm not sure that trying to get more out of it than this is realistic.

I have a pair of Jett FIRE 50's and pipes on the way for my glassed and painted Deullist. I expect a bunch of speed out of this combo. But I wouldn't try this on a Twin-Air.
