Default RE: READY TO FLY ELECTRICS??? NEWBIE

The super cub is a great flying plane but in all honesty I have a slo-v made by the same company and the radio gear leaves a lot to be desired, if I were you I would look at an easystar or a mini mag, both from multiplex. They are both made from elapor which is very strong and both fly great, the Mini mag in my mind is the better choice as it can fly elevator and rudder then when you get comfortable you can add a couple of servos an use ailerons, the easytar is not easily converted to ailerons but does have the benefit of a pusher prop setup so there is no risk of breaking the prop. Both these planes are ARTF the easystar does come in an RTF but again the electronics are not that great as they are quite basic. Most hobby shops will offer a good deal on a ARTF plane and all the required parts, granted its still more expensive then RTF but when you progress to you next plane you take the electronics with you rather then buying them all over again.
