RE: Nitro models pusher Bobcat?
As you can see the bobcat is complete... The pictures show a few of the major changes that get this plane in the air...The cg was at 10 & 1/4 inches.....I added a 16 oz tank for the extra flight time....Faces forward with fuel lines running back to engine.... When the plane sits it still seemed nose heavy.... We'll have to see..... Below are just a few modifacations that were suggested in the RC Universe airplane forums that I performed......
1. The wings had to be cut into to reinforce the mains landing blocks...
2. Mains installed backwards to get them closer to the cg .....
3. Elevator servo installed in elevator to provide better throws and leverage...
4. Canopy was red... Painted black... Installed with 2 screws with blind nuts.....
5. Special canopy mount to allow only 2 screws to allow removal.....
6. Wings were screwed in with blind nuts, not glued.....This will allow disassemble if needed.....
7. Trailing edge supports to secure wings from giving flutter.......
8. Cut my own motor mounts as the ones that come with it were to soft.....
55AX with 11 / 7 prop
4 3004 futaba servo's 2 on the ailirons, 1 for front wheel, 1 for throttle....
2 3000 series tower hobbie micro servo's on the rudders
1 225 hitec micro servo in the elevator
I don't know when I will fly her...Still need to break in the motor
If anyone can tell me anything about this muffler, like what kind it is and were can you get one, Thanks
Mark
