Tom has had the LR-1 available for many years now. It is a great plane. It does not have the long go fast turn left wing like on the Ashley II.
true, but only important if you are racing. For most folks the little LR-1 is fast.
If you need faster, pick up a QM15 size ME or Rivits from Matney models (pretty much the same size as the Ashley and LR1 actually) and put a Jett 35 in the nose. Just takes a long weekend to build one, and a day or so to paint it.
