Default Digital camera for R/C

Here's what I did:

In the last year and a half, I have owned 3 digital cameras. #1 was a starter camera, Kodak 4800, 3.1 MP, 3X zoom. Got it just to see if it could replace the "old iron" (Canon A-1 35 mm) It couldn't. #2 was Koday 5000, 4 MP, 3X optical zoom. It was better and I took a lot of photos for the magazine. #3 is now a Minolta Dimage 7i, 5.1 MP, 7X optical zoom. Let's put it this way, the A-1 is getting a little dusty.

Plan on getting at least a 128 MB memory card. Plan on using batteries "like Grant going through Richmond". AA NiMH are inexpensive and you will need at least 2 or 3 sets. Try to shy away from cameras that use "dedicated" batteries, rather than individual AA cells.

What's next for me? Nothing yet, I can't afford a digital SLR and all those expensive lenses.
