Default RE: Jett quickie on a Shrike

I have been working on almost the identical project. I cut down the fuse to match the wing and plan on putting the Jett 40 up front. It is too late to reduce rib size and relocate them but I can cut the last section off. A question I have, why is the firewall relocated? Does the engine need to be set back further? It will be interesting to compare the results.

Thanks
