Hey Capt. B
How's it goin'?
I took the belly "scoop" off of mine, and made a fairing to blend in the resultant 5/8" step that was left down there...and I made the chin cooling opening right under the spinner smaller (closed off either side so that the opening is only about 1 sq. in. with a radiused lip around the edges )
I also put air directing baffles inside the cowl to make more efficient use of the air that actually does get in there...
I am thinking about gear doors, but we fly off grass, and the two don't really go together.
Maybe a set of clam shells like the full scale P-51 uses? Hmmm...but then ya have either another servo just to operate them, or a linkage that can "mess" up...(nah...)
We have "gunned" it at 127 comming right at the radar gun...
Not bad for a Webra .50 huh!? (a Webra .50 with a worked-on sleeve/piston/crank/and case and U-T muffler )
