Default RE: DL50 props and RPM

Just a thought. I see lots of RPM readings being thrown around in this forum. Has anyone ever thought to ask what the +or- error of most tachs are? IE 7800 +or- what %. All of the digital tachs I've seen vary quite a bit in a normal day of use, at least on the order of + or - a coupe tenths of a percent or so. The best tach I have is an old Royal analog protach and I wouldn't expect it to be accurate within a hundred rpm. I find the digital type tach to jump around quite a bit compared to the analog type. Heck I even have an old Fram reed type tach that I think may be as accurate as anything in common use. I know that Clarence Lee or maybe it was Peter Chin would use direct drive tachs when they were writing articles for the magazines because they were more consistent.
