I am no expert on the matter of pinions, so perhaps a more experienced electric motor guy will chime in, but here is my 2 cents... I believe the pitch (mod) you are talking about concerns the angle the teeth on the pinion are slanted. I believe our teeth are straight cut, so the pitch (mod?) doesn't concern us. If I am wrong, I am certain someone will jump in to let us know. I hope I helped...
