No worries, that is somthing to be proud of there, I like the full cage chasis better myself for these types of projects, but, hey you use what you have.
Keep us posted with some pics as you progress, I am sure you will get a ton of people asking questions.
Have you thought of useing the body you made for a plug to pull glass bodies from? I am sure you could sell some if you did.
