Default RE: Magic Words

Ed, (and everyone else...to put a cap on this thread)

I got the first few flights in on the YAK. I have it setup with 75% of the sport throws in the instructions except for the ailerons. Do not believe the CG recommendation in the instructions! If I hadn't had the 75% dual rates setup I would have lost the plane on the first flight. The CG should be somewhere on the wing tube. After moving the CG forward to the rear of the wing tube it's still tail heavy but very flyable. (there are some RCU post on the CG)

The ARF looked good out of the box. Except for the control hardware and the engine mount both I replaced. It's well built, well covered, fit together fine.

Mine came out around 8.5+ lb. With the OS91FX and a 15x6 it flies pretty fast. Faster than it needs to. With more tweaking to the balance, the engine, the prop, and the controls it should be a great plane. I'm not disappointed.

I'm taking it out again this weekend. I'll post some pics.

Now if I can just get the wife o.k. the new 85" Wild Hare Sukhoi
