Default SONIC 500 RIP

Well after about 50 flights on my Sonic 500 Hobby Shack/Peoples $50.00 ARF (on sale price) the wing departed in flight. The fuse beacme a 100MPH lawn dart. Wreckage was strewn about 25 feet. The fuse had the look of a gutted deer. My JET SS 40 was turning an APC 8x8 at the time and all that is left is the hub. Engine, Rx and 3 servos were recovered. The wing is atop a patch of reeds about ten foot tall and measuring 75 feet long and 40 feet across and has not been recovered. Wing mounts were reenforced before the first flight as well as the firewall. I will not buy another on of these for two reasons. Covering material is total crap and build kwality would not have stood the test of time to an OS .25FX.

I just made an extention for the firewall mount to loose the 2 oz of lead bolted to the engine flange. It had about 15 flights on it.
