Patrick, if you were to spend an hour with a dremel.......I'll bet you could get that fiberglass and maple crate down to half the original weight, hog it, shave it, hole punch it then just cover it with iron on film. There is probably enough maple there to do 3 planes. Back then I was worried about the GZ tearing away from the plane. Now that doesn't worry me, in fact I think that would look so cooool
