Fiberglass fun and more progress
After a great day of flying Saturday, I took some time today to get some more work done on my Caudron.
I now have leading and trailing edges on the wing, and wing tips in place. The tip of the core is 1/2" thick, so I took two tip shapes from 1/4" and shaped the outside. I then used a drum on my dremel and hollowed each half. Finished by glueing togther and installing them on the wing. Light and shapely.
I also finished the Canopy, and finish sanded the cowling blank.
I then took the cowling blank and fiberglassed around it. I am making this thing with the 'lost foam' method. So far it looks good, but I have not put any primer on it yet.
