The position of the pressure fitting is not super critical. The one shown on the pipe in the picture is about 6" from the piston. this is for a .40 size engine, should not be too much different for a .46 size pipe. If possible try and get somebody who can weld aluminum thin wall tubing to put a blob of weld at the fitting position. This will give some thickness for the fitting to screw into. The pipe wall is too thin to support a thread. Even with a nut both sides the wall will eventually fail and the fitting will blow out.
