Not sure about the Wingo floats, but a properly set up airplane should be almost no different flying with floats or wheels.
It may be slightly slower, but that is about it.
If you have trouble getting off the water, try going to a prop with a bit less pitch.
The small GWS aircraft all fly better off water with the 9 4.7 than with the 10 inch prop supplied in the kit.
