No it’s very easy to see. It was done on purpose, for these 50 year old eyes need every bit of help at these speeds!
The 3" florescent red stripes on top and the florescent green on bottom stand out very well agianst the black and very easy to see in the sky.
Orientation, direction at great distances is easy to tell.
The only things bad about the black is it gets hot quickly if left out in the sun, and shows dirt and scratches more.
All of my speed planes have the hot colors on top, except one are this way, I've almost killed that odd plane because of that.
Time to recover the Outlaw. For me, the best color scheme for vision is all florescent red on top, tail, edges and all black on bottom.
This also makes this cool strobing effect at high roll rates
