Ok, here are the progress pic's.
Pic #1 is the glass curing in the mold for the right hand side cowl blister.
Pic #2-4 are the cowl bilsters finally finished.
Pic #5-6 is the new SPE 40cc engine, and the 18x10 and 20x8 props they recommened
Pic #7 is the Zinger 3 blade prop sitting ontop of the SPE, make the engine look small. it's an 18x8
Pic #8 is the prop infront of the cowl.... Pretty close to scale, only about 2-3" smaller.
Pic #9-10 this is the problem with the zinger 3 blade props, the center hub is masive!!
] and is over 1/4" bigger than the inside of the skyshark spinner i have for this model. I have been in discussion with the Aero engineer at work, and i think i'm going to make up some new hub plates whcih will reduce the center hub diameter by the required amount. so effectively i've wasted my money on the zinger, but at least now i have seen it and know how they make them.
