Default RE: Pitch curve on Blade 400?

Psindrup,

I post this all the time, brushless motors should run at about 80 percent of there maximum RPM or more. The Blade 400 has a 420H brushless outrunner motor. Outrunners, run alot cooler than inrunners. Half stick should make the heli light, 2/3 stick seems about right if you're in normal mode. As skill levels increase, blade pitch and rpm's may differ. It's alot of trial and error. Be patient and don't crash.[8D]

Best of luck,

I have been told that it is ideal if your heli starts to lift off into hover at about half stick.

With default settings on the Blade 400/DX6i, the pitch curve is 0 degrees at half throttle stick,
which means that you will lift off into hover at about 2/3 stick

Is there anyone that can tell me why this is done this way (and should I change it, once I get my 400?)

Thanks in advance

Peter
