Default RE: NC Speed Event

ORIGINAL: daven

Vicman, you may want to look at the rules that they use for the German Speed Cup and try to stay consistent with that.

Who knows what it will grow into??
Indeed it would be nice to 1:1 compare speeds objectively!

BTW, these are no German but FAI based rules (i.e. internationally compliant).

Here’s a PDF covering the rules for the F3S Speed Cup including data for

- max speed plane wing load
- max. engine capacity per class (F3S-A, F3S-B, etc.)
- 200 m speed trap layout and suggested (required) technical equipment
- recommended plane colour scheme (for safety reasons and for improved detectable optical signal)
- etc.

These rules have been refined during the last decades and will guarantee comparability all over the planet.

Regards
