If you decide to requild that 46FX, suggest you go to Performance Specialities (Nelson Racing guys, or was) for your high quality piston and abc linner. Will also give you a few rpm's. Not designed to be a cheater engine, just a quality replacement parts. Use their good bearilngs also. Cost is about the same or less than OS, much better quality. No more pealing linner either. Actually my TT's have been better than the OS, current design is stronger for sure in the head area. ENJOY
