Default RE: About to fire up a truck that has sat for a couple years.

You know if its rusted out its rooteed anyways, lube, 6 million leters of lube wont save it ! LOL ! Hate to say it, dont bother, rip glow plug out stick some nitro fuel in there, pull carby air pipe off pour some down there too, pull it over slowly for a couple of turns, see if its siezed, if it aint, fire that bugger up. If theres rust in there its just not gunna last, as it gets warmed up, bits of rust debris are gunna fly off and up into the combustion cylinder, destroying piston and sleve, and the worst thing is the big end bearings, are what rust up real bad, the most, and you cant really fix them, only replace, so unless your willing to do a complete and total re-build, which is dearer than a new engine, LOL, you might as well slap some fuel in it, lots, turn it over , and if not siezed, fire it up ! And see if you can tune it. If it runs for an hour its probly gunna be ok, but if like the above post says, its blows up in five minutes, l wouldnt be suprised still, thats a long time for a nitro engine to sit, there so prone to moisture because of the fuel left in them, l dont like your odds, hope your lucky !
