RE: Hitec 5245
Hitec used to post this info on their support page, but I don't see it now. They had some issues with Karbonite gears failing due to heavy vibration in giant scale as well people using locktite. Their advise was to use only metal geared servos in giant scale. This is also the advise given by Troy Built Models website. I would probably go the 425 route over the 475 route for that reason. The 5245 is a much better servo the either of them for the application in question.
