Silverj is absolutely correct in that piggy back shocks are to help keep the shock dampening fluid from overheating and thus thinning reducing dampening over the course of a race. Piggy back shocks are of no benefit to RC cars and trucks. RC shocks use silicon fluid wich will not thin out when heated.
