bob it looks like he said he needs it to land in a very short space of 35-40 feet.
just a matter of practice.....
even with the clip wings. Big wings do help it slow down a bunch more.
(actually having the engine idling slows it down more than landing dead stick, and provides better low speed control)
if he has to dive over a tall obsticle to make the field, even a pulse is not going to slow down that quickly.
