Default The "Big B", my sons first trainer

Today is my son Benjamin's 5th birthday. Several months ago at the F3A championship here in Argentina my flying buddy asked me when I was going to teach my son to fly. So we came up with the idea to have him a plane ready for his 5th birthday. After several months of working a few afternoons a week in his shop we completed the "Big B"

Its scratch built and based loosely on the plans of the QB Monster. Its power by a Magnum 91 4 stroke. Length 60", wingspan 92", cord 14", weight 9.5 lbs. 2 piece wing with flaps and removable horizontal stab.

It was my first scratch build and probably my last. It took forever to build.

To top everything off we even had a plane shaped cake with the same design.

What age did you teach your kids to fly?
