RE: Questions on the Gitchel parachute
Here are the dimensions for the packtray I use:
Overall Width: 11 & 1/2 "
Overall Length: 14 & 1/2"
Top Flap width: 3 & 1/2"
Top Flap Length: 4"
Side Flap width: 4"
Side Flap Length: 6"
Bottom Flap Width 3 & 1/2"
Bottom Flap Length: 4"
I would suggest making a pattern out of paper bag material and packing the chute in to it. Then you can make adjustments as needed. I also use 1/4" double bias tape around the edges of the packtray. Hope this helps you.
