Crystal Prices
The reason is that they can get away with charging more.
There's probably a couple dozen companies around the world that make (assemble) crystals, and even less that grow the crystals. Hitec, Futaba, Airtronics, ect aren't in the game.
Does Futaba get theirs from a supplier/manufacturer who meets tighter standards to charge more?..... Who knows.
