RE: CRRC 40cc kit
Why buy a kit engine with no warranty, no guarantee etc? Plus you have to put it together. Since it was bought on ebay, who would you call for any missing or broken parts. Their are many stories about buys who have bought engines off ebay (new ones that is! not used), and found them defective, broken, not what they thought they were buying. Then getting your money back is nothing short of impossible.
Right now lamar 389 hasn't even put a prop on yet and he has several major problems in regards to parts that broke easily or don't fit properly. It is great that he is skilled at fixing the parts. But where are the parts coming from and who is gonna pay?
I am sure that there are guys who would love a challenge of putting one together, and will buy one just for this type of challenge and learning experience. But for the vast majority of us, buying a fully assembled, tested and warrantied engine to me seems like a so much better deal.
