Hi update on the JR glitch. Disconnected the rx, reconnected it and moved it away from the servo's and batt. Gave it a test seemed ok. took it to the airfield did a range check all ok, then bit the bullet and flew the plane and it appeared to be fine. So i hope the prob was caused by the fact that rx was situated under three servos and next to the batt.
