Man - I am so envious of you Queenslanders - Since Joe Luxford left WA, the Pylon scene is as good as dead (he was definitely the brains and the energy behind the sport there). I went out with my son a couple of times earlier in the year but nobody turned up at the venues (that had been organised by Joe before he left). We still set up the poles at one of the clubs we are members of just to practice but without a handful of us it just isn't the same - especially as my son doesn't see the funny side of "Father and Son" mid-airs. So Right now we have No Pylon and Near enough to No Combat, the only adrenaline rush we get now is winding up the O'F's and the glider pilots - not that that is much of a challenge these days
