Default All in 1 receiver with new motor

As soon as the new motor arrived (thanks again Andy), I eagerly installed it, (minimum clearance, no binds) plugged it in, checked everything out and fired it up. Got about 1/8 of a rotation and then nothing. All servos and the tail motor function as expected.

So I do a resistance test on both the new and old motors to compare. The old motor tests like a diode - resistance in one direction, infinate in the other. I assume either a short or open motor winding.

The new motor gives me varying resistance in both directions - windings and capacitors looking good.

This leaves the all-in-one reciever/gyro etc. 0 volts coming out of the main motor lead at all stick positions.

So I'm wondering if the old motor shorting caused the electronics supplying voltage to the main motor to fail and if so, if this would be covered under warranty.

Randy.
