Default RE: Bob Cat Copy Falcon 120 Jet

ORIGINAL: starzak

I have just finished reading Dick Pettit's review of the Falcon 120 in R/C Report. In it I see that he uses two big flat washers under the screws that fasten the horizontal stab between the two verticals. That's the single screw on the vertical stab straight above the rudder servo. You can clearly see them in use in the color Pics on pages 64 & 65, and also on the cover shot. They look kinda dorky, but are probably very functional, even though I don't see them used this way in either the instructions, or picture in this thread.

How many of you have taken to using them this way, or think that it's a good idea ?

Hi I used turn up washers with counter bores in them to take the screw head and chamferd them off and painted white , i think this is very important that you use these other wise the screws will pull throught the wood .
