Default RE: Receiver Crystal for hitec Micro 555

ORIGINAL: buchtes ok A.T., I've done what you suggested, installed a HITEC PN 6677251 72 MHz Dual Conv. Receiver X-Tal Crystal which Hobby Horse send me. I still do not have a signal from the TX. Do to the age of the RX, ( about 10-12 years) I do not think it's worth spending more $ to get it fixed. Or what else can I check? thanks
Without knowing both brand and model of the transmitter you are using, one would only be guessing and suggesting numerous possibilities e.g. is your TX set to QPCM, PCM or PPM - it must be set to PPM. If a Hitec computerised TX, it should be set to eithet "P" or "N" shift according to type of that 555 which is not shift selectable on 72 MHz. Suggest refer to:
Hitec RCD General Receiver FAQ
see also sub section "Glitches & Jitter in RX & Servo - causes and cures" at

(FWIW Those were excellent RX, am still using a couple in large .EP Soarers.)
