The SPEED COBRA is the standard beginner speed plane over here in Europe for people with hot 15 cc engines. However it comes with a very fat wing and tail feathers that should be much thinner for an acceptable speed plane design!
Does anyone use the Robbe Rasant as a first (or second or..?) speed plane? It is a simple and crude design the best I can tell from pictures, but it's the first RC kit I ever saw over here that was designed solely for high top speeds. My guess would be it flies at similar speeds to a Magnum or Q500, but I really do not know much about it. Someone gave me one recently and it is en route in the mail. Does anyone have any thoughts or comments about it? ILJ, are your wrists sore from all the typing in the last few days
