Default RE: Don Lien 80" Hellcat Build

Ran into my first major problem with the firewall today. This kit was designed to use a ST-2500 for power. Hence the funky firewall set-up.
I tryed mounting the engine to it and the prop was sticking out Waaaaay past the end of the cowl. Also, the magnito on the engine would be so far foward that I would basicly have to destroy the divider between the upper and lower openings of the cowl. I figure I have to drop the firewall 1-1/2" from it's present location to get the engine to fit correctly. I took a straight edge across the exsisting firewall and marked a line 1-1/2" down all the way around. This is where I figure the firewall needs to be.
I invite any and all opinions on if this is the correct way to fix the problem and any suggestions anyone might have before I start cutting.
PLEASE HELP!!!

Thanks
