Yeah, advice well taken...I also am taking into account that I have only flown ONE battery pack in idle up prior to this attempt...so I'm pretty pleased with the results, even if I did do stupid things and crash.
I'll say one thing though...I found out my answer to my question....it is definately NOT like on the sim....the sim will give you the basics...but when you are out there with a real heli, and real elements like wind, sun, shakey hands, etc, it's a whole different ball game!!!
I will try again, but I think I also would do well to practice just flying more in idle up too...
