I have a new (broken in) Picco ducted fan engine and pipe, I scratch built a DF plane for it but trashed it (was my own design, was unstable in pitch and lost it on the test flight).

When I broke it in, I was running an APC 11-8 prop and it was screaming. I bet it was around 20,000 rpm. I was thinking instead of its intended use, I would lathe down the head (its got a heat sink head fro a pusher Dfan) and try it in a prop speed plane.

Question: what prop should I think about using, something like a 10-10 or what?

Also any suggestions for an airframe? I though maybe whipping up a delta wing or maybe just enlarging a 40 size Q500 type. Something that I can build fast and cheap just to get some speed in.
