the triangle stock is glued to the balsa sheeting that covers the foam (i cut away the china-coat of course) It seems to be adequate and spreads the load although a better still solution might be to use a steel threaded rod laterally between the struts where they bolt to the ply, or silver solder some additional bracing. Anything to keep the strut from flexing under negative G's. In fact I think I will do this on mine so I won't have to worry about it holding up.
