The thin weighs less, the motor revs much quicker and achieves higher RPM (not that that is a sign of better performance). I did not try a 27x10 regular Mej only the Xoar.
It just seems to work really well with the DA100, I've flown other 100's at the field with the regular Mej, on the Menz, flown them on Xoar, NX, flown them on the 28x10 Mej with muffs, but to me and others have commented at the field as well the 27x10th is the best prop we have found.
Not all those props were on the same engine or the same plane, some were my buddies planes but a couple of them are now running the thin after seeing it on my plane.
Sorry I can't be more specific like I said as far as my own plane goes I can only compare it to the Xoar.
My 100L yesterday was ripping it at about 3/4 throttle though, so if you have noise restrictions at your field you may want to run the regular.
