hi    thanks for the clear nail polish idea-to hold down the covering-   i would just like to ad-always use alcohol or K2R cleaning spray to remove and clean any fuel soaked area- a coating of  sigs clear dope -is old school and will also seal fuel soaked balsa -and make it a hard surface again-  to prevent fuel soaking to begin with-be sure all surfaces are protected at the time the plane is completed-you can seal seams and decals on heat shrink coverings before the fuel soaking gets started   that way- you will not even see the clear dope on the seams once it dries
