Re-thinking engine choice? Rossi to what?
A long time ago, actually, a really long time ago. I drew plans for a 55" jet with a prop drive. The C-101 Avio. I was to us my Rosi 61 RE. The model is framed but still has a way to go before completion.
I'm re-thinking the engine. Mostly because of the weight of the Rossi. Being up front and all, plus the nose moment isn't the shortest.
A suitable engine made today, possibly lighter and with greater RPM's could carry this fine model a bit faster than the Rossi. Am I dreaming?
I can get photos if necessary. Unfortunately they will be black and white. This is the only color photo I have.
