HB Center shafts for the Savage
Just an FYI....
I have the HB center shafts on my savage and the rear one broke on me the other day. The pin that holds the shaft to the coupler fell out, and of course its lost. I never realized that there was a set screw holding it together.
So here is my suggestion and this is what i did to my new center shaft.
1. Had to buy a new one.
2. Re Loctite the set screw.
3. Placed Heat shrink tubing over where the shafts meets the couping, so this way if the pin falls out again i won't lose it..
Just a little info to share. just wondering if anyone has had this problem..
My .26 comes tomorrow....................
