Default RE: 1/4 scale jet sprint hull

Swashdrive made the nicest jet I have seen though believe for the moment they are out of production. Craig is a member of this forum (Member name - Swashdrive) and recently advised a member that he anticipates making more in the future.

Craig offered the boat as a hull only, as a kit requiring motor and radio to complete, or as a full RTR. There are not a lot of them out there on the used market and when they appear they sell quick.

Swash drive use to cast the pump in stainless though switched to a molded plastic and aluminum design which was a fraction of the weight. They retained the stainless impellor which was available in three pitch configurations depending on power input.

MHZ make a decent Jet sprint and copied Swashdrives trimable pump design. Earlier versions (Gen 1 and 2) of the MHZ pump offered a reverse bucket instead of the trimable pump nozzle. You may still come accross these from time to time. The early versions used a 4 bladed propeller (not impellor) which was prone to breaking when debris was ingested (the intake had no grate to protect it from debris). The reverse bucket made this version the most maneuverable of any gas propulsion method allowing the boat full control in all direction including turning on the spot both clockwise and counter (was fun to run at any speed).

I have a Swashdrive jet sprint as well as an early MHZ jet boat with Gen 1 pump. I recently acquired a Gen 2 pump which I have yet to install in a future project boat. I have plenty of pics and video if of interest

I see the link on the German site for the pump but it does not come up. There is a guy in the US who claims to be a dealer for MHZ and his link works (though his service has stunk in the past) His site claims to have the pump and jet sprint in stock though.
